Sarah Newland, a licensed veterinary technician, is the author of the young adult adventure series The Coelacanth Project. Her books revolve around the difficult transition into adulthood, conquering inner demons, and discovering powerful friendships. She hopes to promote a love of reading and brain-active living.

When she isn't writing or working, Newland and her husband love to travel and dote upon their three fur-babies: Big Kitty, Little Kitty, and Meowse.

She's surprisingly good at pinball. Terrible at karaoke.
